If you know me at all, then you know that I tend to take pain with a grain of salt. I can handle a little pain, and even had to be told after one of my C-sections that it was OK for me to ask for pain medicine. I just had a baby and I didn't need to be a martyr.
My periods have always been pretty irregular. I've dealt with this my entire life. However, whether it's because I had a tubal ligation a few years ago, or because I'm almost 40, they've become more irregular than ever during the last few months. That means that when I do get my period, it causes a great deal of pain.
Saturday I woke up with horrible cramps. In fact they were so bad I could feel my uterus spasming. I've never felt that before. If I didn't know better, I would have thought it was a baby kicking me. No, it was just my period making itself known for the first time since the end of January.
Because I had been doing my research on Essential Oils, I knew there was something that I could use that would help. I was right. PanAway was just what I needed to calm things down and make the pain stop. I put two drops of PanAway in my hand and massaged it into my stomach. In no time at all my cramps had disappeared and that spasming sensation was gone too.
In an effort to keep things nice and relaxed, I diffused Lavender in my diffuser. Lavender has amazing calming properties and it worked wonders for me.
I've watched as Essential Oils have transformed so many things for my family. I truly believe that God gave us plants to be used to heal our bodies. I'm living proof that they work!
